Product Recall Notice for Serene Bathroom Fan Heaters
As you may be aware, though media reports Work Safe Aotearoa have widened the nationwide voluntary recall of Serene Bathroom Wall Mounted Heaters. The voluntary recall now includes Serene models installed between June 2018 and September 2021.
Unfortunately, Serene have exited the country and negated their responsibility for their/this issue. We are in talks with Site Safe and our electrical supplier who now hold responsibility to obtain a better understanding of how the voluntary recall will progress.
The responsibility and liability now lie with Work Safe and our electrical supplier.
Serene, distributed tens of thousands of these units’ nationwide. As you can appreciate the practicalities of this recall are widespread and will take time to remedy. We cannot interfere with the process, and we are awaiting on the legalities to be clarified further.

In the meantime, please do not use these heaters. We recommend turning these off at the wall and placing tape over the switch so they can’t be accidentally turned on.
